New blood to the family

So long as a reptile has some food and a large enough enclosure with proper husbandry they're happy. It's no worse then keeping a gerbil or rabbit etc.

Bearded dragons are playful, curious little critters and you can let them roam about the room/house once they are big enough.

I've been looking into buying a beardie for the last week, Done quite a bit research. So much infact that I'm going to wait till I have my own place as I feel I will be better suited to look after one.

What I keep coming across though are people who are just buying them and have no ******* idea on how to keep them! It's annoying. Surely people research a animal and how best to care for one, Before they decided they are upto the task of keeping the animal heathly, Not knowing things like, 'how long do I keep the bulbs on' and 'how much do I feed them' while actually having them in your care is stupid.

Sorry op just been grating on me!

Seems mean to keep them in a container at home just because they're cool to look at. It's a wild animal not a pet.

Those 2 are actually pets....when i had my beardie i had his uv light set on a time for 8am in morning till 8pm at night when the light went of he normally went to sleep stright after
