Hello

I currently have an ATi x1950. It's fine but ATi have stopped graphics updates and it doesnt support GPU accelerated video.

I am looking for the cheapest PCIe card that has similar/slightly better 3D performance. I dont really play PC games anymore but do play CS:S on the odd occasion. Safe to say, I'm a bit lost.

Not fussed if its ATi or Nvidia, best power for the pound is all I'm after.

Please advise :)

Thanks

for cheapy cheap and a little performance (way above the X1950) the ATi 4670 isnt a bad option for you and can be had for £45 New, for more grunt you can get a 4850 for £70 and a £4870 for £85 second hand. I still cant believe how cheap the 4870`s are going given the power they have, Truly monumental cards. the 9800pro of the modern day.

Thanks for the info. Been hunting around and wondered how the ATi 4350 compares to my x1950, the reason they interest me is because they're passively cooled and I like a quiet PC these days :)
