New Build (i5 760 oc'd @ 4ghz)

Right I think I'm at a point I can try the machine and install windows.

Though I'm not sure how I'll ever get this tidy

So far so good, though it threw me by displaying the bootup on the 'wrong' monitor. I'm quite enjoying looking round the bios. I do miss the days of DOS.

CPU temp in bios seems to be hovering between 35 and 37 at 4ghz.

2 options I can find that were in IDE but I changed them both to AHCI. Hopefully that's all I need to do to get my ssd working optimally (as far as the bios is concerned I mean)

Yep that's what I plan on doing but the braided cables are a little inflexible atm. I shall massage them or get extensions. Same with the pci-e cables. Braided might look better but they don't seem to like to play ball.

First stumbling block. The Titan Fenrir Evo is bloody big and the only way I can orientate it with the fan, and heat sink clear, is the fan blowing towards the memory.

Hmm. If I reverse the fan so it's pulling air through the heatsink towards the rear exhaust fan........

I have same Mobo and had similar problem, I chose a Gelid Tranquillo and it JUST about fits with the fan orientated towards the memory slots. I have 2 X 2Gig, It would be a very very tight squeeze to use the other two slots. (if not impossible)

Be interested to see how your overclock goes I'm running std, because overclocking is a bit too much for my lonely brain cell..:)

Chose same case too and have to say I'm well chuffed with it, nice quality case.

There's also a BIOS update for the P55-USB3, It's up to F9, if you're interested.

I just noticed that when running prime my overclock, according to realtemp, dropped back down to the i5 760's standard 2.8ghz? As soon as I stopped prime realtemp said the cpu speed went back up to 4ghz.

That seems a bit strange. Any idea's?
