Asus Maximus IV Extreme-Z Mobo
Kingston Hyer X Ram
Corsair CX430
AMD 7850

Here is the issue:

Just setup a new pc build and having major issues.

1. There is no video signal. Tried all the different PCI slots and it makes no difference. Tried different graphics card, same issue. When i turn it on the LCD display in the top right of the motherboard flashes up some numbers (on the actual motherboard itself) and then stays on F2.

2. Sometimes when we turn it on the computer just keeps resetting itself, again there is no video signal but it just goes into a continual booting loop.

Not really sure where to go from here. Tried taking out the ram and trying it in different slots, unplugged hard drives and various other cables... still no joy. The PCI "on/off" switches are all set to On. We have taken the battery out, used a jumper to reset blah blah blah.

Anyone able to help ?

Have you remembered to plug in the 6 or 8 pin PCI-e power connectors? Also the manual will state what code f2 means so that will help with your debugging. Have you tried the onboard video too?

Theres many possible reasons.

Have you just made it?

It is safer to use the motherboard video vga connection if you can for 1st start and then install OS + chipset drivers and then install gfx card and drivers

No video signal can be the fact that the motherboard is set to use the onboard graphics and without installing drivers for the pci slot then you can't use the gfx card slot until then.

but there is many reasons

The motherboard does not have onboard gfx.

All cables are connected as they should be.

Power supply is brand new and 430w, maybe this motherboard requires more than 430w ????
