New Call of Duty game to be revealed next week

omg not again , same old engine just few different maps and weapons , they should not release it on pc they should just stick to consoles tbh , it is getting ridiculous .

Can I ask a serious question, and hopefully get some serious replies?

What is the difference between the hate for COD vs the love for BF?

I see it all the time, people saying about lapping up the same old tripe, yet people jump all over info on a new BF game.

I don't get what the difference is.

ea have done same date release similar issues have adopted same dlc pricing and style yet you all call cod haha.

the only difference is they apparently made a new engine whether this is true or not no one really knows. they said they built it from scratch but they also said pc was lead platform while everyone got preorders in then changed there mind after theyd got there peak numbers in  then admitted console was the focus. pc people seem to forget good marketing from ea

worst thing is bf games are always worse bug wise and some people cant even play them ! yet all the sheep still defend them and call activision

both as bad as each other at least get that right. cant wait for war fighter to come out. beta is exact same date as last year , same dlc milking (have you already forgot about eas milking of dlc with bf3 ? paying for unlocks  ) even cod doesnt do this !

ea is nearly exactly the same ! they make pretty broken bugged games activision make games that work but dont gamble on the latest tech.

they both have cash registers waiting for your money only difference is which one you goto. none of them love pc they will just say they do when they need the sales. i guarentee when war fighter is being marketed theyll spout exact same **** as they did last year .

we got something special lined up for pc crowd pre order now to find out

suprise 4 months later = we focused on console

atleast activsion are honest and that we know cod is a console game

since 2007 cod4 , call of duty franchise did not change much , even got worse just few maps new weapons feels more like expansion packs, i guess that why people dislike it , but they still buying the game .

it got worse as the focus shifted more to console

bf has been doing the same but not with the same growth. EA realize that console is the big money and need to go tha route this is why bf3 is like it is.

the real fps games are not going to come from the big groups anymore they come from smaller groups who need to make a great game to be recognised .

EA and Av dont have to make ground breaking games they big enough that the sheep will buy them even when taken the **** out of

Not really a fan of either EA or Activisions latest incarnations but at least EA have released a game that is different from the last.

COD is literally the same game with some perk or killstreak added to make it worse than the last version.

The whole COD v BF fanboy dribbling is pathetic though.

I cant understand why people still buy it, that's what gets me. Every time you give these muppets your cash you're saying to them "what you are doing is correct and fine by me", it needs to stop.

For me I just think BF has more quality about it, I remember when BF2 was released and I played that game non stop, the gameplay, the graphics, all of it, it was awesome. Years later they make BF3 that IMO takes it to another level again, awesome graphics, great gameplay, I really enjoyed the singleplayer, they remade some of the old classic BF2 maps, I just think they did a good job with it. My guess is they will run with BF3 for quite some time yet until they make BF4, but I honestly dont think that will be for years yet.

As for CoD, its just the same thing, every time. And they churn them out so quick, which in my mind just means it was rushed. You could argue, why change a working formula, they churn out another CoD, with the same ageing game engine, add a couple tweaks and maps then sell it, and Im afraid to say it, it does sell. But there comes a point when they need to come up with something new, a new engine, up the graphics and really push the envelope, otherwise they just create another stagnant game.

The funny thing is, that is exactly what they are doing (and probably the same when this new one is unveiled in May) and people will STILL buy it cos its got a favourite battered fish on the box.
