New camera for daughter's 21st birthday, which one.

As title really, I'm after camera for around the £200 as part of her birthday pressie. Ideally i'd like something like a panasonic FZ38, but we already have one of those and its a bit above my price range but you get the idea of what I' after, a cheap "bridge" DSLR sort of thing. Theres a bit of movement on price but I'd like stay reasonably close to £200. I don't mind going second hand either, or separate body/ lens format (I reckon that might be pushing the budget a bit though)
Any suggestions?

well for £200 you can pick up a canon dslr eos 1000d body only so you only need to buy a lens.

you can also pick up a used/refurbished Fujifilm FinePix HS10 for under £210.

Thanks for the info guys, its appreciated, I reckon I'll go for the Fuji HS10 as thats the nearest type to my FZ38 which me daughter likes using.

if you willing to pay more their the hs20 and i think hs30 which have new features/upgrades and improvements over the hs10
