Very nice.

Is the paint on the back bumper just being effected by the light in that picture?

Yeah, looks a shade darker in the picture but it does match. Guess the switch from metal to plastic is picked up on the camera.

Those are some large alloys, is the ride bumpy or comfortable ?

Suprised how good it is actually, yes its firm and you learn to swerve potholes but not uncomfortable by any means. My EP3 CTR was far more harsh on the bum.

I'd love a Golf like that, looking forward to the review and more pics of other angles and interiors. Can I ask what options did you get with it and how much it cost you?

Lot of money for a Golf but glad you are happy. I'd have wanted something with a posh badge for that sort of cash :)

Such as? I looked at lots of alternatives Id be happy to hear some more!

Rover coupe is still faster!

;)

(ill get my coat)

Looks very tasty though, way better than a GTI.

Get it supercharged.

A3 3.2 V6 would be the obvious one that would spring to mind, that or an older A4, 330 Coupe, etc etc. Maybe an M3. Infact yea, M3. Or M5.. Mmmm. Perhaps an S4..

They arent that expensive are they, low 30k's?

The new R32 is quite and exclusive car still, so i can understand why you bought it over a M3 or S4.It'd be a difficult choice between the A3 and the R32 tho (im not a bimmer fan hence not including the M3)

Yep,

A3: I looked at but prefered the "kerb appeal" of the Golf and "fingers crossed" residuals

Out of that list the only the M3 would have fitted and I could not get one less than 3 years old on my budget (to fit compnay car scheme), add to that the considerably higher running costs for the M3, insurance was £600 more pa, servicing is way higher and I would have had very little if any warranty left on an M3 for similar money.

I should day its 10 months old, so no where near new prices!
