We all make mistakes and this one isn't to costly, really.

I once sold my S3 to save money (house purchase) I picked up a GTI-6 and obviously saved nothing. Simply ended up with an old 306 with a fun engine.

Lol even my insurance and tax is "only" £900. :p

BUT

- Petrol cost approx. £3500 per year in the Volvo
- Diesel will cost approx. £2000 a year in the Peugeot
- Will take less than 3 years to make up the money. :)

You realize that engine will do about 50-55mpg at 70mph on the motorway. Not great really! They truly are terrible on fuel when compared to a 2.0tdi 140 VAG lump which would do 60-70mpg and be far comfier and with more go!

The quoted "combined" MPG figure online is 67.3MPG, Extra Urban is 78MPG, I was just going by that.

Fair enough. Mum has it in a Focus and does 35k a year on motorway at 70mph and it has averaged 53mpg. Mate has a Fiesta with it (90bhp as no IC) his does 56mpg and yet on same trips his 2.0TDI averaged 63mpg!

Both very unhappy with them!
