New car time, is a BLS financial suicide?

As some of you may remeber my volvo autobox went, opened up sump and it was full of **** so its well and truly had it. Bought a e34 BMW 520i as a temp car and i have been really impressed with it makes me enjoy driving again. Decided to not rush to buy a car just have a look around and jump in when you i find something i like.

Seen a few e60s not sure if am keen on them or not, drove an A6 and wasn't impressed. Was down arnold clarks this weekend (was bored and in the area) and they have some 58 plate 2.8V6 Turbo (255ps) 6speed auto with leather and satnav Cadillac BLSs for £14k. Not driven one yet but it seems awesome value for money although i would have to get loan for the rest.

List price is about £28k but after a year it will only be worth £8kish and i assume after 5 i will be lucky to get a packet of walkers for it but its been on my mind all day. Anyone got a terrible review or experiance of one to put me off?

It's a Saab 9-3 in a sharp plain suit. For that reason alone I'd be running, not walking away from it..

For example :)

I climbed into my first CTS straight from a MB E320Cdi Sport which listed at £52,000 and the transition was painless. The car is good quality fun if you can look beyond the hard plastics used to trim the doors and dash. In the new CTS, all that disappears in favour of acres of leather and the dynamics move a generation forward as well.
It's refreshing to see a fair appraisal of CTS both old and new. The new models are now arriving in the showrooms. If you're curious, come and drive one ( preferably at Bauer Millett)

My god that 525i is cheap. Ok it's ultra base spec but still, wow!

Provided that there is nothing wrong with it (I'd be looking very carefully at that money) it's a far better buy.

and then spend more money on holidays. 4 holidays this year and i feel much better for it :)

I keep thinking will i get 14k of pleasure out of it, and the answer is always no but it just seems so good VFM.

Sounds like a sensible idea, yes its cheap, but not given our current economic situation, anything over a 1.8 seems to have bombed in value.

Check it out carefully (as you should with any car) and you'll not go far wrong with that e39 imo. Better than a Cadillac BS (opps, I mean BLS:D) any day of the week.
