Just agreed to buy this little gem for the sum of £500

1 lady owner (who goes to church with me mum)
39700 miles
12 months MOT
5 months tax
Just serviced
4 very new tyres
FSH (by an independant chap who I used when I lived in Brum)
Just needs a bit of a clean and a polish to change it from pink to red :p

Realised on Thursday that I've put 9000 miles on my Elise in 7 months so was considering buying a second car. Insurance is £200 and tax is £100 so should allow me to save a bit of money on running my Elise.

Aye, should provide you with some cheap motoring. I found running my Micra very cheap to run. Even absolutely thrashing it I could get 35mpg, usually nearer 40mpg. Parts on a Fiesta like that will be cheap as well.

Sounds like a good buy.

I considered getting a Cinquecento to use over the Winter months but decided to be crazy and cycle instead. I'm still a hardcore Northerner!! (although I once wore a hat when it was -37C)

Cheapest thing you can run i have found is a Citroen C15.

you can by 3 year old ones with about 30k on them for 12-14 hundred pounds.
They do about 50mpg.
But they are really, REALLY horrible.

£500 quid for a 13 year old festa though.

She will go to hell for charging you that.
