I would like your thoughts on the above please, I have put together a shortlist of cases that I think will be ok for my first watercooling venture. I can't make my mind up

Keep the one I have:Lian Li PC50R ( does seem a bit cramped to me tho)
OR one these. or your own ones :D

Nzxt Tempest Evo:

CM storm sniper black dragon:

CM 690 II Advanced: (plus window panel)

CM 922 HAF RED:

Corsair 650D: (when it gets here)

corsair 800d.

there is one for sale in the members market, seem's the better choice and would last a very long time with future upgrades.

What are you cooling? In the summer I'm going to upgrade from my CM-690 ii to a 800D to watercool CPU/GPU. You could cool your CPU in an CM-690ii but there isn't a lot of space if you want to put a second rad in the bottom for GPUs as well.

Being a newbie to water cooling i'm just sticking with the cpu for now as I won this EK kit on another forum:

EK Supreme HF 240 Kit:
1 x EK Supreme HF Nickel Plexi Waterblock
1 x EK CoolStream RAD XT 240
2 x Yate Loon D12SH
1 x EK DCP 4.0 12V
1 x EK Multioption RES X2
2 x Masterkleer 3/8" ID - 1/2" OD
8 x EK PSC Nickel Compression Fittings
1 x EK Ekoolant UV Blue 100ml
1 x EK DCP Pump Mounting Plate Kit
1 x TIM Arctic Cooling MX-2

Want know which is the best thing to do with regards to case.

For a midi case the sniper is massive on the inside. Have one myself running 920/rIIe/megahalems/several hdd's. Been happy with my results on air. Seen some water cooled examples on youtube using exterior and interior set-ups, both with superb results (some modding needed :D)

Cable management is a joy once you've sorted the case wiring to your preference

HAF'S are always a good way to go from what I've seen on the boards

I too like the 650, out of the obsidian range its definitely the winner in my eyes, largely due to its size. 800D is a smashing colossal case for wc rigs, so I'd assume water cooling would be pretty decent in a 650
