Are you manually setting the timings?
If not the main ones set by xmp/expo will stay the same but the others will auto relax to accommodate the higher speed which can result in slower ram

I like to see how far I can push the memory and don't use xmp/expo.
This particular set runs 8400 cl36 lga 1700 and 9066 cl42 lga 1851 just fine.

It will be but the second and third timings will be super lose.

Here's the G.Skill 6000Cl26 running 8400MT/s in a Z790i Lightning. I don't think the timings are that bad.

The 1.4V versions are EOL. 1.45v kits are on pre-order, not sure if they're coming back.

Bit of a long shot but trying to get 8000C32 stable on the 64GB kits with the X3D2. TM5 passed but karhu crashes.

Yeah need to mess with odts etc later on.

This msi board can do better here though. On my 6400c26 settings MSI can stay at 34 but my ASUS Hero needed 80.
