this is what it addresses.

Requirements:

* Windows Vista 64-bit or Windows Vista 32-bit

also the site says do not install these drivers for users with xtreme audio.

I will be sticking with the modded drivers for now, they work very well.

Wow great I hope this fixes the problems with Vista x64 as at the moment the drivers I am using are still sucky. Hopefully they have tested these ones a bit more than those .0003 drivers that were causing loads of crashing on games. I like creative stuff but their support and drivers suck really bad.

Well flawless installation, all speakers working, no static, sounds great, audio console works,

They may finally have done it ;)

^^^^

Agree with that, though you still have to bodge install THX Setup form the OEM disc to enable the sub with 5.1 speakers. Well I do anyway.

Havent tried it, my sub worked straight off, any advantage in installing this? Are you using the .iso file of the creative Vista cd or the original that came with the xfi

Ignore that, I'm still fairly certain that I'm getting some small cracking and static briefly when I crank the volume up. Only very slight, but I can still notice it.

:p

Strange that since I just installed the THX console from that CD and got it to enable my subwoofer.

EDIT used to have the Vista ISO but using the XP one. Can't find the newshosting link for the ISO anymore :(

Doh just tried

Sub works in spearker test but not in music play back
How is the thx bodge done then

scratch that volume in settings was way down

Working then? All I did was choose custom install, selected only the THX console, reboot, play music and set everything up in the AC, then open THX and fine tune. Enabling bass redirect is the one that kicks the sub into life.

yeah its working, there is a noticeable crakle when changing mp3 track, play one then click on another and you get a bit of leftover noise or something

Still for me they are an improvement over static !

Installed them last night didn't get a chance to test them though I will test my Mic tonight with some games because that was always crackling and causing feedback ... it wasn't good.

Tested the Mic and all seems to be working fine it seems that Creative may have changed the monkey that was working their last set of drivers.
