Precisely! I don't get it either
.Will be interested to see what the U2413 brings to the table in contrast to U2410. Not expecting much over U2410 here (smaller bezel?), however if it is any better then will probably upgrade in 2015
, once its been out long enough and tested.

The U2412M's launch price was near £240. And this is a completely different monitor and series anyway. As the only glossy VA panel monitor currently on the market it seems a fair price and may drop further shortly.

expect that to be lower by the time its released. looks like it's being positioned as a high end pro-grade screen though with wide gamut, 10-bit support, factory calibration and programmable 14-bit LUT. They already have the U2412M for the "general consumer"

It is unlikely to be that high once it reaches retail here and in the United States. It won't be cheap by any stretch of the imagination but should be cheaper than that! Given high-end features such as a programmable 14-bit LUT, Adobe RGB support (from a WLED backlight - unique), proper factory calibration with dE <2 and the plethora of ports this is designed to give monitors from the likes of NEC a run for their money. And they don't come cheap.
Beaten to the punch by Baddass there... But great minds think alike.

Confirmed it is definitely using the new LG.Display LM270WQ3-SLA1 panel, it has a light AG coating like the U2713HM did, and is free from the so-called "cross hatching" of the U2713HM as well
