Old: http://musicfromfilm.com/movies/accepted2.php

New: http://musicfromfilm.com/movies/accepted.php

Other updated pages:

http://musicfromfilm.com/tvshows/beautyandthegeek2.php

http://musicfromfilm.com/contribute.php

Reason for change?

1. Bored with the old design and fancied doing something different.
2. Thought I would clean up the code a little and make it more semantic (within my abilities).
3. Wanted to come up with a cleaner design and one which is quicker to update.

I'm not totally happy with the footer atm and there are quite a few little things to tidy up, like padding, margins and links to sort out.

Just thought I'd ask for some opinions. Anything you dislike or would change?

Also, I've only really tested the new pages in Safari and Firefox on OS X so if people on other operating systems/browsers can mention any glaring errors I would greatly appreciate it.

Cheers.

Not as good.

Less scannable; the removal of the compartmentalisation really hurts it.

Less readable; mid-tone text on dark is making the user's eyes work harder to get at the all-important information.

Less cohesive; seems much less organised - mainly due to the plain dark background.

Separating sections of content using colours and background fields will definitely help.

Overall, I'm getting a strong "half-finished" vibe from it. Maybe proof that boredom alone is rarely reason enough to redesign?

Probably not what you wanted to read, but you did ask.

The old site is much better in every way.

Agree with all of the above as well.

I actually thought the new one was your old one at first (due to the "2" on the filename) and thought you'd made a massive improvement.

Then I noticed my mistake and thought maybe the stylesheet hadn't loaded on the new one... then that maybe it was just Chrome not displaying it correctly...

P.S. Your FAQ links are broken - page doesn't exist.
