New desktop: budget £700 all in.

I've just sold my trusty XPS M1710 as I'm no longer travelling much.

I'm looking to get back into the way of gaming.
I've got a budget of ~£700.

Seems like a pretty sweet deal with Win 7 for £710.

Anyway, will that be enough to get decent frame rates in Borderlands and CoD: MW2. They'll be the games I'm playing most.

My screen will be my HD TV (720p / 1080i)

Yup, with that 4890 in there you'll be able to play the latest games for a few years

your looking 100+ fps on MW2 and about 55-65 on borderlands

Not so; I'm guessing OP's going to be running either 1280x720 or 1366x768. At those resolutions my (now deceased ) 9800 averaged 25~ frames. I'm sure a 4890 could muster 50+ easily.

I hear the CPU and the gfx card are both pretty clockable /excitment! Anyone pushed either of these two?
