New Doctor Who companion announced

I'm guessing she's going to be his companion before she turns into a Dalek clone - he can go back in time remember ;)

I think she looks hot. Gillan is hot too but the character is becoming a bit annoying.

Just to throw in a converse opinion on whose Who's the best, didn't like Eccleston, couldn't stand Tennant (I stopped watching, just couldn't take his smarmy character), I really like Smith.

I agree the writing could be a bit better, but then that probably goes for most BBC output. And given the quality that Torchwood has become Russell T Davis shouldn't even be allowed to write his name let alone any stories, definitely don't want him back.
 
They've dragged out the whole Rory/Amy thing far too long, I'll be glad to see the back of them.

Smith is a good actor, its just a shame he has had to act out such poor scripts. Doctor Who seems to have more childish with each new season. Family entertainment doesn't have to be child orientated.
 
Why does her Dalek character have to become the assistant? The person who played Martha was a Torchwood employee turned into a cyberman. They did get around it by claiming it was a relative though (wiki reference, not seen the ep. in a while)

I do like the new character though, not just because of her looks but from her performance in that episode it was more thinking less shouty.

That was quite different iirc. She was cast as that character (and the episode aired) way before she was cast as his companion.
 
While watching the other night, my wife asked me to name some pretty scottish girls, I found myself floundering after Gillan. So help me out then...

ANyway, maybe thye will do some Deus Ex with the girl, she uploaded herself to a dalek mothership, and from there recreates herself with either the goo from a series ago, or some android style setup.

I thoguth due to his focal points he couldn't go back to see people earlier in ways that might affect them. Thus seeing a girl and showing her the universe with the knowledge he could change her future would be a mess.

As for Russell T davis, bringing him back will only serve to force the inclusion of a gay couple in every episode, even if it means the script makes even less sence, who can forget, 'one' and 'the other one', who served no purpose but to tell us in a future army we have progressed so much as to allow two gays, only two gays, as having more would need names others than one and the other one.
 
I really do like Smith as a Doctor, tbh I think he is very good at it. But The storylines since Davies left have been god awfull.

Which is odd, as both my fave Tennent eppisodes were written by Moffat.

There is Laura Frazer who isn't too bad, Mhairi Calvey is pretty hot, Sheena Easton was really hot (she might still be), Tiffany Mulheron is drop dead gorgeous, just to mention a few hot actresses.

Julianne Moore is hot albeit born of a Scottish mother rather than a Scot herself.

Isla Fisher is born of Scottish Parents although she grew up in Australia.

Kelly mcDonald. The young girl in trainspotting who gets jiggy with Ewan. She's also the voice of the lead in brave.
