Hi all,
Just bought a 450D and I'm really happy with it :D. Quick question though - how do you store your camera? I don't have a bag for mine yet so I'm keeping it in it's box. Should I take the battery out if I'm not going to use it for a week or so? Also, if I leave the battery out for several weeks, will this destroy my settings/date and time?

Here's some pics I took yesterday in the Peaks:

Cheers!

One of my bodies is always in the bag ready to go, complete with battery & card, the other one just sits on the shelf. I've never had a problem with the battery being left in there although if I know I'm going to use it I will check the batteries etc the night before.

You won't lose any settings by leaving the battery out, they're all maintained by a second button battery.

I've been leaving mine on my desk when i am sleeping and when i am on the desk, leavnig it on the bed......too lazy to take pack it into the bag lol

I always leave the battery in the camera, only taken out to charge.

My camera lives in a shoulder bag under my desk unless it's in the boot of my car or over my shoulder (or, god forbid, actually being used!).

At least one battery (grip with two batteries), primary lens and a memory card are attached to the camera, so it's literally ready to go.

If I'm going on a planned "shoot", I'll check the batteries and cards before I head off... otherwise, I'll just grab the bag.

Kae.

HA! I am EXACTLY the same. Although breaking from tradition my camera is currently next to me, sitting on my rather large mouse mat.

It would be on the bed, but my rather large cat might knock it off.

My camera bag is too full to fit it in :p
