New Dual Nvidia 5X0 card coming THIS year! GTX580 15-20% faster than GTX480! GTX560 possible release

It's all over google about the Nvidia fallout with kyle from OCP, he favors AMD mostly now, that's why you see benchmarks limited to a certain res to show certain cards in a good light.

Complete and utter Pish. The benchmarks are geared to show what they consider playable settings on the cards in question, unlike most sites who just run time demos and proclaim "teh winnar" after 10 mins of canned benchmarks.

Raven, Bench your 480 on Dirt 2, one of you guys with the 5970 do the same and post here. Simple really

(Yes i know CPU's etc maybe different but it will give a rough idea of which benchmarks are nearer reality)

Call me crazy but I prefer a wide range of resolutions tested not just max res which is limited to a select few.

Yeah because testing something like a 5770 on a 2560x1600 res with 12x anti aliasing would clearly have some amazing point to it which we wouldn't clue into before even reading the review...

If you had your way reviews would be limited to "games" which favour your current card, i can just picture it:

"Welcome to ravens 480 review, today im going to run the heaven benchmark 36 times with extreme tesellation enabled, as i feel this synthetic benchmark is entirely representative of all current games be they dx11 enabled or not".

How does an anandtech review from a few weeks ago suit you? Obviously the 5800 series xfire results easily beat a single 480, but the 480 smashes any single AMD GPU, and shows a much larger difference between the 5870 and 480, one that is more commonly found in real world usage.

The same anandtech that uses F.T.W OC 460 £250 in their base comparisons against a 6870 £175 card that got sent direct by Nvidia.....

Errrr no thanks i will pass...

So, do those results somehow affect the 480 and 5000 series scores? Even the most blinkered and tiresome fanboy must accept that anandtech are one of the last bastions of fair reviewing on the net. Perhaps you should petition Anand to include factory overclocked parts sporting AMD chips. When third parties deem to offer more than token OC'd AMD parts that is. I just had a look on the OCUK site, and the only factory overclocked 6870 sported a whole 13Mhz OC.

Edit: While the 460 section has cards that sport upto a 135Mhz OC or 175Mhz if you include the card sporting a waterblock.

Bottom line is they shouldn't have included overclocked chips, let alone highly overclocked chips, and even if they did they should have taken the average overclocked card, and also overclocked the 6870/50's as well to show some form of realistic comparison.
Hopefully this is just a blip on their record.

Edit: One other interesting thing to note is that Anand in their response conceded that Nvidia aggressively put's allot of pressure on reviewers to basically skew the results of reviews...

Why not? If you can purchase an off the shelf part that sports increased performance I dont see what is unfair. If they had clocked cards themselves for the test I would agree with the sentiment. Moaning about no AMD overclocked cards being included is pointless if such cards do not exist.

Also shows the 6870 seriously beating the 470!
I thought Fermi was meant to be good at DX11? or is that just synthetic benchmarks and a gimped game (civilisation)...

The fermi advantage in dx11 is tessellation performance, right now only a few games support it and to be honest theres barely any difference when its enabled.
