New FF13 and vs13 movies

For those who don't know, Versus is the game that is developed by the Kingdom Hearts team, so you can expect similar gameplay to that series. The same world that is featured in the main FFXIII game is the same set in the world of Versus, its just that the characters, story and obviously gameplay will be different. Think of it as a alternate universe/side story kind of thing.

All FFXIII related games come under the "Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII" banner, and there are three games, the main Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIII Versus and Final Fantasy Agito XIII, which is a PSP game.

The collection is similar to how Final Fantasy XII was under the "Ivalice Alliance" banner with games spanning different consoles or how "Compilation of Final Fantasy VII" and its related games were.
 
Looks awesome. Wierd that they are both set in the same world, considering the Versus one looks a lot closer to our time, where as the standard one seems a lot more Fantasy? lol.

Both games look fantastic, and I am yet to lose the final fantasy bug, Please make 100s, The stories are always far superior to other JRPGs. And they engross me, Which is all I want.
 
Both CGI trailers look great, as most FF ones do. I dunno if I spotted anything that could be gameplay in either video though :(.

Will they both have same gameplay mechanics with differing stories or are they totally different games?

I think FF13 is 360 & PS3 and FF13VS is PS3 only. Which is due to be released first?

The main FFXIII and Versus will be different as I previously explained.

And yes, FFXIII will be PS3 and Xbox 360 and Versus is only PS3.

FFXIII will be out in Japan next year, so that means somewhere along the lines of 2010 for us, and Versus still does not have a release date.

Well if you played any of the Ivalice Alliance related games, you will find that each games are set in different timelines of the same world.
 
You should try FFXII: Revenant Wings for the DS if you have one since its the sequal. And then theres also the Final Fantasy Tactics games from PS1, PSP and DS. Course that also depends on if your into the style of gameplay these games offer.

Yes FF13 is PS3 exclusive in Japan and 360/PS3 rest of the world, Versus at present is PS3 only worldwide but if it stays like that is as yet unknown. SE have said it is PS3 only and that the situtation at the moment,
 
FFXIII and GT5 are the two main reason, apart from the BD playback, that I bought a PS3.

Can't wait to see what that looks like 10' away on a big HDTV.
 
The in-game graphics beat out everything else I've seen on console so far :eek:
Gameplay looks very exciting too. I loved FFX but I don't know how this compares.
If anyone could fill me in...
