Following on from the marketing success shown by rallying a nation behind one of their motorsport heroes, Honda have announced that in 2007 they will be fielding yet another team.

As Team Super Aguri celebrate Aguri Suzuki, the first Japanese driver to stand on a Formula One podium, Team Wonderful Taki shall pay homage to the man who could have been the greatest Formula One driver to have ever lived: Taki Inoue.

The new team plans to operate under an innovative sponsorship structure where sponsors will leave the team after each race. The fight to obtain new sponsorship deals and keep the team afloat will be recorded by a fly on the wall documentary crew and televised before the start of each Grand Prix.

A Honda spokesman was quoted as saying "In Japan we hold real respect for men with fighting spirit! Taki Inoue embodies this spirit like no other; fighting on no matter what the odds and striving for recognition no matter what lies in his path..."

...Apart from the Marshall's Car, eh?

Nah, it was bruised but he was ok for the next race. Considering he was paying quite a bit to drive for footwork that season it would have taken more than that to stop him from driving!

They were Footwork from '91 to the end of '95 when TWR bought them.
