Also is there much point for 120hz monitor if not going 3d vision?

the higher refresh rate of the 3D monitor will be useful if you enable V-Sync.

amd cards are suppose to support 3d now arn't they? with the advert for 68** cards?

if i were you i would get 2 6950's and unlock them to 6970's

imho a lot more bang for buck on that one its a no brainer
