hi all,

I want to build a good gaming rig with core2duo and SLI

after a lot of search I found this m/b in stock ONLY with OcUK :D
Asus P5NSLI - is not pricey but I want to spend more if I can get a better m/b with good overclocking feature... and SLI enabled
I found this one Asus P5W DH Deluxe but no SLI feature? crossfire enabled...

I want the core2duo E6600 cpu ... or should I buy the E6400 cpu and overclock it?

I don't want 2 video cards now... I want the m/b to be SLI enabled as maybe in 6months/1year I will buy a second video card to enable the SLI
for now I just want 1 card 7900gtx

and 1 want 2gb or quality ram

do you think I should go crossfire instead? I don't think exists a perfect SLI m/b yet that's why...

I don't think the psu is hard to choose and I have dvd-rw, sata hdd, case, ms, kb, 19" lcd

please post any ideas/ experiences to help me decide if SLI or crossfire and if E6400 or E6600 and what motherboard

thanks!

Welcome to the forums. Why the 7900GTX? The X1900XT is as fast and cheaper(at least last time I checked) plus it can do AA+AF at the same time.

As for Ram I'd suggest something like Geil PC6400 as it is/was a very good deal but any decent brand should do, I'd probably set a basic limit of ~£150 for it though.

A 6400 has less cache(probably equivalent to around 400mhz) but costs significantly less and the lower model chipsn seem to offer more headroom % wise for overclocking so if budget is an issue then I'd go for a 6400 and not worry about it.

thanks semi....
the motherboard I can't decide... but first I need to decide if ati crossfire or nvidia sli ...

any more thoughts?
