I currently have a Steelsound 5hV2, have had it for about a year now and has been fine but now the right side is starting to die, it constantly cuts out and i have to shake the headset, wiggle the wires and bang the headset to get it to work properly, so need something new. I was looking at this: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SP-042-SN I see it has got lots of good reviews and was just wondering how it comapres to the steelsound, and if its worth the price?

sennheiser will rip apart all. i was going to get that but im getting sennheiser HD595's which are just headphones and i have recently got a clip on mic.

What kind of games do you play? They do seem to be very well regarded and the reviews would point to them being better though I only have experience with SteelSeries myself. Having tried a pair of 595s, if these do compare the way some people suggest then I would go for them.

The Sennheiser PC350 are awesome and they sound great.

By default the bass is low, but if you have a good sound card then you can simply adjust the bass, EQ...etc.. and they will sound great.

I think the bass is low for a reason, it's probably to let you hear more while you're gaming.

A lot of people will tell you to get cheaper headphones and a clip on mic, but if you're gaming, having the mic on your headset makes things so much easier.

I have Sennheisser HD215 headphones here and they are so much better than all the phones I have in the past. I also use the Logitech USB mic which works very very well in everything.
