Corsair HS1's were going for like £50.00, USB and loads of great features.
But...that will not take advantage of your top rate sound card as it has one built in...
May I suggest the HS1a's so you can attach them to your SC's 3.5 jack?

How much are you looking to spend?
For gaming CMSS-3D blows dolby headphone/prologic out the water for positional accuracy IMO tho dolby does a great job of the soundscape in general. To better what you have you'd probably have to buy a Creative X-Fi and a pair of headphones that work well with CMSS-3D (typically sennheisers), otherwise you could use your Xonar with a headset that works well with Dolby Headphone.

I might get the HS1-A myself as i need a gaming headset.
