I never see the point tbh. Maybe in countries where the meat quality is poor and you want to mask the taste. I don't see anything alpha about not being able to taste the food you are eating.

love the single user review posted :p

That's not the half of it. If you expand the comments section there are loads more. Here are a few choice selections:

"I ended up in A&E after this stuff. They had to surgically remove my tongue. DO NOT TRY UNLESS YOU ARE SERIOUSLY XCORE"

"I tried this product years ago in Rotterdam. Worst mistake of my life. I ended up in the hospital, and it caused irreversible nerve damage to my mouth. Because of this, I lost my job and my wife left me. This ruined my life, don't let it ruin yours"

Chillies have a great flavour, they aren't used to hide flavour, look at the dishes from all over the world that have chillies in them. It also releases endorphins which gives you a high, but your body adapts, so you keep needing a bigger punch to get the same feeling.

Chillies have a great flavour

I never really knew this because I always used to get my chillies from the supermarket so they tasted boring with a little bit of spice but when I grew some Cayenne's last year, the flavour was awesome, so fruity, sweet and citrus like.

I'm growing some Bhut Jolokia's this year which was the worlds hottest chilly until this one come along.

I know that, but the general chilli heat and flavour isn't what you're getting with this type of heat. It's not flavour, it's overpowering everything.

Seriously?

Have eaten a whole dried naga jolokia and tried mad dog 357 collectors addition. The chilli was rated around 1 million scoville units and the 357 around 700 thousand. A mate tried 3 naga jolokia and was very sick indeed.

Hottest iv eaten is this.
923,000 The Dorset Naga Pepper, from Peppers by Post

Dorsets can vary with breading and the growing conditions.

I have 3 Dorset plants about a two foot away form me at the moment. They have produced the seed that's growing in the OcUK chilli growing thread.

Lots of chilli experience on here - so i you fancy attempting chillis this summer you know where to come! (at this rate we'll get Spie growing them!)
