New HPW2207 possibly a 226bw beater

I also like the look of this screen, and its got some good reviews in the US.

I popped into a "local department store", who stock HP monitors, and according to their stock system they have got a dozen on order which are due in on the 7th of May priced at £229.

So I gonna go check them out next week and for that kinda price may well be getting one.

Cant grumble about that price, Does that include VAT? Also you should be able to walk into the shop and take it straight home.
 
I assumed it included VAT, although i didnt ask specifically ask as shops normally jsut quote inc VAT prices.

The other big advantage is that you can check it out in the shop and don't have to have the panel lottery that other monitors suffer

EDIT: Does anyone know if OCUK will be stocking this monitor?
 
Any more news on this one. They still seem a little thin on the ground?

I'm itching to buy a 22" LCD and cannot wait for the Samsung to be readily available.

aye this is looking like a samsung beater only thing im not sure on is the glossy screen? But otherwise this appears to be the best 22inch monitor out there
 
Went back to the "high street store" and was told not yet in stock but should be this week...

Phoned HP UK, and was told that the monitor is availible from this month but it will take stock to filter through over the course of the month and that some stockists may already have them in store. Only two stores apprently are stocking it.

The store i went to also were selling it for £229 inc vat with 1 yr warranty and 3 yr for an extra £28.

So hopefully it shouldn't be long until we see them
 
Funny I did exactly the same thing today and the man behind the desk did a stock check and said 16 where in the wharehouse and they would be allocated 9. I looked at his computer and the price is £229 and i also spotted the extended warranty offer, well worth getting.
He gave me a stock number 82706056 so I can ring and check when they have got them in stock.The computer had a picture and the man was impressed himself.

I've given up waiting now. Had a 'what the hell' moment the other night and ordered a Dell 2407WFP. Should be here tomorrow!

these are now starting to appear, called the RK282AA or w2207

20 inch does not have dvi, 22 inc does

only one years warranty though

you are right my friend - the stand appears to be different... although they appear to be the same screen
