New Hubble Images

Astronomers are celebrating the release of remarkable new images from the Hubble Space Telescope (HST).

They prove the mission carried out by astronauts in May to service the observatory was an outstanding success.

The latest pictures include trademark Hubble visions - from colliding galaxies to exploding stars.

I can't get my head around that these things are 'out there'! :cool:

Awesome. Of course, great as they look, there really is nothing like getting the photons directly onto your eye first hand. Although they are greyscale, they are no less magnificent! Saturn and Jupiter or just beautiful!

Why do they never offer them in hi-res? Amazing images, but I would love to see them in a higher resolution.
