I'm going to be helping a friend of mine do a fresh install of Windows 10 and I'm not sure how this will work when the Windows licence came as part of the bundle??

He bought his PC pre-built from OCUK and says he can't see a Windows licence key anywhere so I'm assuming it's somehow "bound" to the motherboard?

If this is the case, will the usual install process still be the same by booting from the latest W10 image on a USB key and it will bypass the part that asks you for a key or will I need to do something else?

Thanks...

It will ask for a key, just click "I don't have a key" then as others have said it will self activate when connected to the internet.

We managed to get the same windows key on 2 seperate PCs.

Built one, put windows on it using the key, used it for a year or whatever, then built a new one, put windows on that using the key, old hardware sat around for a year or so.

Then we built a HTPC from the original parts, just switched it on and connected to the internet, and it appears to be running with genuine Windows.
