New intake

Loved the sound of Gareth's one with the airbox off :D

Swear it had a bigger cone than this though. Maybe I'm rose-tinting things.

Maybe, maybe not.
For that sound I'll trade a few horses.

I've been like this since I got the Teg.

I know a Mugen rep will will be better than the open Injen CAI, but once opened up THAT sound gives +50bp to my mind and ears, increasing enjoyment 10 fold.

Now what's more important, a bit more power through the range or the spine tingling felt as above? ;)

1:35 onwards = :D

VTEC noise is sublime, I can't get enough of it.Have to be careful though as you'll be doing license loosing speeds in a flash :o

Gonna keep that one for when you rip my twin loop again :( :D

Millions of pounds spent by Honda developing fuelling systems when actually a bit of bent 4" drainpipe and a round filter are better? waste of money time and effort.

You get the same noise with the lid off. Infact most cars sound like that with no airbox to silence the air.

Manufacturers spend most the money and time making the induction system quiet, rather than focusing on power.

I run the standard filter with lid on on mine, anything else is too addictive.

I have a k&n typhoon fitted to my CTR at the moment (not through choice)
Whilst its performance gains are questionable and the imminent fitting of a gruppeM/tegiwaM system is coming soon, nobody can argue with the bark of an open cone filter on a hona engine. It sounds bloody epic.

The system looks great in the bay, what are the performance gains likely to be on that application?

This must be the 5th s2k related thread this week.
I NEED to stop looking at them!

How do you find the typhoon? Is the heatsoak issue as bad as everyone says?

Yup :D:D

At least my air filter isn't some massive box that the intake pipe loops through twice :p

Just seen that Toyota post.... Get out of the VTEC intake fun thread, your feeble VVTI engine is not the right brand or worthy to be in here!
