Xeons usually are a little more on the expensive side than the normal chips, quite rare to find them £ for £ with the normal retail ones.

May be good clockers, normally their saving grace. Getting one out tommorrow and having a play to see what one can do so I am personally reserving judgement until I have seen how it goes in the real world. :)

arent these for servers?

Xeons are usually used for servers and high end workstation PC's (usually used for developers).

They are a lot more robust than standard chips and will just keep on going until the rest of the hardware crumbles around it. Not sure why you'd want to overclock one as they're not really designed for that. They're basically designed for 'always on' servers.

Agree with TriedandTesed on the price though.
