Hay I recently added Four gigs of PC8500 ddr2 memory for my gaming rig as an upgrade from my ageing 2 gig 800mhz memory. But when I installed it the computer wouldnt boot at all, id turn it on hear the computer as it would do normally but...nothing happens, iv tried putting the old memory in then configuring the motherboard for the new memory but still nothing happens also i checked the memory for any unusual features like making sure nothing was loose etc or anything that stood out.

Heres the memory bought and my specs:

Have you reset the CMOS before installing the new memory? After reseting enter the timings and memory voltage manually into the Bios.

You may need to try the sticks in either slot blue or whites if that is the colour scheme on the board.

Are you running the latest Bios?
