New mods on my 997 C2S

Needs a lower stance, looks a little tippy toes and I am also not a fan on that spoiler. I am one of the few who preferred the Mk2 GT3 spoiler over the Mk1 GT3 on the 996. Nice wheels mind and if you like it who gives a stuff. Enjoy.

I can assure you it's a trick of the light, since the front bumper and the rear wing were both painted at the same time by the same guy.

That was my Dad's but yes, I often post up my Dad's and my own cars as we change them. He sold the Balboni and bought a GT3RS (2011) instead just recently, I think I had a thread here about it.

Balboni :eek::eek::eek:

GT3 RS:eek::eek::eek:

Well done sir.

Those wheels are teh sex!

How much do they weigh?

Weights are 21lbs (9.75kg) front, 24lbs (11.28kg) rear, they're forged one piece monoblocks.

As for the lowering, we have a lot of steep inclines due to all the storm drains by the sides of the roads/driveways, if I lower it any more, I'm going to destroy the front bumper. I don't really feel like spending $4k for damptronics and fitting for that privilege!

This. Looks fantastic just sat a little bit high

Something I notice about the pics, other than a nice Porsche, look how wide that road is outside your house and there aren't cars parked all along it either. Over here now, obviously the roads are not as wide but there'd be cars parked all along it in any neighbourhood - on both sides :)

How long you been out in the States and what made your decision? (work, wife, business, severly fed up in the UK :P)?

Nice car and lovely place to be living.

Its a standard Porsche part, just isn't fitted to this particular model of Porsche :)

Indeed, this is an official Porsche part, the aerokit consists of the front bumper and rear wing that you see in the pictures. It's a factory option for all 997's but it's quite a rare one due to its extreme cost (~$6500 for the parts alone, before fitting and paint). The parts themselves are identical to those found on the GT3.

I live in a private gated community, the HOA won't allow anyone to park on the street at all during the evening/night time, plus various other nice rules that keep the place looking nice. Only downside is the privately contracted police love to enforce the 25mph speed limit too, extremely rigidly!

But keeps the scum/peasants (:D) out of the community. Someone recently stuck drawing pins in the outer edges of my tyres and stole a few worth nothing parts.
Not a fan of such communities but can see the benefits now!
