New N73 Firmware

Have just tried the Nokia Online firmware update program, and after downloading a new version 1.1.40en found that the N73 is at last supported

New firmware version:
V 3.0638.0.0.1
30-10-2006
RM-133
Nokia N73 (11)

Loaded with no problems and seems to be working OK so far

Mine is a sim free unbranded version - I have heard that updates for some providers are still to appear.

Seems to be a bit quicker going through the menu's etc, but that might just be hopeful anticipation.

Has anyone noticed their N73 getting progressively slower over time, mine is actually taking the ****! Barely any apps installed and half of system memory free (no memory card)

No you don't - you can trick Nokia software updater into thinkng you have a generic phone and it will update the firmware.................allegedly.

It's true, you can change the product code of your phone to a euro one. This doesn't effect anything apart from it thinks its from europe instead of UK. Everything for english support is still there. I did it to mine last night.

What, the firmware?

Because forcing an unauthorised firmware install onto your handset will invalidate your warranty...
