New NFL Season

Was a raiders fan but have ditched them this season :(
too many years of nothingness and it seems different to when fans could wear lots of mental outfits.

So, like you I am now a NYG fan. Chosen randomly!
 
Got a 49ers shirt today :cool: discreet optimism this year. Defence is rock solid and the weak O line has been addressed (I hope) in the off season.

And don't worry Morba, Tom Cable said last season that the raiders would have easily made the play-offs with an above average QB and now you have Jason Campbell :D

Raiders have been in 5 superbowls winning 3 of them, Dude You should be proud of that and why NYG? Because they won the Bowl in 07/08?

First of all, you shouldn't just choose a team when you feel like it. Stick to one team even if they aren't doing so well, teams don't lose forever man.. Damn!

I support the Washington Redskins and have done since around 1989 and before you ask no i have never been to FedEx Field or the older RFK Stadium, but i will do. Sometimes I get stick on forums for supporting a big team but hey we haven't done much since 91/92 season when we won the superbowl.

Last season under a rookie head coach (Jim Zorn) we finished 4-12, a horrible season but I still love my beloved Redskins and always will do.

My predictions for this year 7-9, finishing 4th again but I'll take that over 4-12 anyday. We're not rebuilding under our new coach Mike Shanahan, we're just getting stronger!

Apologies for seeming aggressive but I just don't understand how people can just change their team like that. :(

NE's pre season is home to NO and STL and road games against ATL and NYG. a rebuilding year for us though, especially with Burgess holding out and other changes in the secondary. Dont worry, JaMarcus is gone! Now you have Jason Campbell to lead you to... sorry i cant even say it seriously.

Big Vikes fan here - im tentative about our season. If the Williams Bros get off with their charges we should be ok, and if we can get Favre again then superb but i dont think we'll be hitting the heady heights of last year quite. Hoping to get a good run in the playoffs.
 
Poor you. Games tend to be on Sky Sports or I get them via Usenet when/where I can.

The Rams are in for another tough season this time around, Sam Bradfords their rookie QB but whether he will get a lot of snaps or not awaits to be seen.
 
NY Giants fan as well, been supporting them since they won their very first superbowl...hopefully they will get to the playoffs this season but i dont hold out much hope for them getting any further....havent really paid much attention to the NFL since moving back here from Canada although i have been over to NYC to see a few Giants games...planning to see a few this season if i can get over to NYC.

read my post then think about what you have said. I have stated a couple of things, including being a raiders fan and why NYG.

I know what you wrote, I just don't understand it. You say you ditched them this season? So if they go 13-3 win the AFC West and then go on to win the superbowl you'll go back to supporting them?

But hell you can support whoever you want mate, just makes me laugh thats all to change team after how many years? I think you said "too many" :D

If they go win the superbowl then great. I'm gonna give the giants a go for a while though, this isnt a 'one season only' thing. Rather than pick the best team (consistently) and just be a glory hunter, i thought i'd give all teams a chance and be random selection :D

Many Years - probably around 15-18 years! Maybe i'm just being very negative about them at the moment lol.

Mate thats fair enough, as long as you lose to my Redskins twice we cool haha
No serious fair play i know how you feel i just couldn't do it myself thats all and i get annoyed when people do change as i see it as i do football over here, First game and/or team you go to see or watch and you like then you stick to them.
