New NVIDIA BETA drivers for World in conflict

they might make things a little smoother in game. i dont know, i dont know whether thats just me wanting them too or not. i wont be reinstalling the old drivers to test it lol
 
yeh they definately made it a little smoother for me

gained me a few fps in the benchmar too. Although my pc did lock up once while playing it, but its only happened once in hours and hours of gameplay, so maybe just a random glitch.

Its just a bug with the game.

The screen freezes and you can here the sound continue in the background.

Its not a driver thing :)

yeh thats exactly it. You getting it as well? It just happened randomly, screen froze, sound kept on going and had to reboot pc.

Yeah, it comes and goes, last night i had it for every game i started to play for about an hour =/

But i only got it once tonight. :)


Your the 3rd person i know who has had it :)

Each of us with different cards and possibly different drivers

BTW ALT F4 will get you out of it and back to the desktop :)

really? i never tried alt f4, just ctrl alt dlt, alt tab , the usuals.

Alt F4 is the best key combo Ever!

Try it now :p

hopefully you have opera so you start where you left off when you reopen it
 
when i try to install the new beta drivers it gets to the driver installing screen, and then after a while my screen just goes black. is this a common error? I assume it shouldn't be doing it :/

I get aswell, Also after it's finished half my screen goes black and I hear 3-4 weird beeps :(.

Happened on WiC 163.13 set and 162.22.
 
Hmmmm
Are dual monitors enabled in this game yet, and none of these new fangled effects are working in vista.. :/

I did have this beeps and all, my pc rebooted eventually when i hit enter or alt-tab then enter. on reboot the control panel was broken though

eventually i uninstalled ntune/nmonitor and all the drivers so i was back to vistas basic display driver then installed the new beta without a hitch.

I've had this problem a couple of times when installing new Nvidia driver. I ended up just resetting the PC and when it rebooted it just carried on with the install. So the last update I did with the 163.11's I just uninstalled the drivers manually first and then installed the new ones and all went ok.
