I think some people fail to grasp the concept here.

Launch day they don't need to bundle games the card is selling like hot cakes. Roll on a month or so and the initial sales spike will have dipped. Now is the time to bring in the value-adds while maintaining the price.

It'd be nice yes, they may even follow it up with a "we listened to your feedback and all owners can now have the games" so they come out like heroes after a shuttering start.

Of course we do, its just that for most things there is a reward for pre-ordering or getting the first of something. Not that that is a good thing, it makes us greedy :P

Just can be irritating if you've ordered it a bit before this offer comes out meaning you lose out on a free game. No biggie, just a little annoying

Was never a fan of the last in-game credit promotion they did last time, Im still not a fan now.

The other bundle is pretty nice though

graphics cards never have purchase incentives on launch day.
EVGA do promotions on their website.

Zotac did last year with the 780 series - Splinter Cell series.

Creative also did when they used to sell Nvidia cards, but that was around 1998, got Tomb raider.

Sapphire have done also, but that's going back to the 4890's - Battlestations: Midway.

HIS have done also, can't remember what I got now, but was with the IceQ3 series.

I don't think Nvidia themselves have ever done free games on release day, doubt AMD themselves have either. Only from the manufacturers.

Dont AMD have their Gold codes which they give out with new cards? I got those when I got my new 290xs

I think you all know what Richard meant.

If vendors decide to make their card more appealing they can but nvidia themselves don't put out promos with launch products.

If you want free games with your graphics card you should wait till their is a promotion there is always a promotion at some point.
