New official Xbox 360 Wheel?

Hi guys,

Seems that every where is out of the 360 wheel. Is there a new official wheel being released soon?

Thanks

Darren

I have sold my PC and my old Momo Racing wheel wont work with my 360. I really hope they bring out a high quality wheel for the 360.

I don't particularly like the look of the official 360 wheel, it looks like its made by fisher price. It could be a good wheel though.

It would be nice if they brought out a £50-60 starter wheel and a slightly hardcore £100-£150 ish wheel. Buggered if im paying all that money for the Fanatec one + the playseat etc. Although it is tempting.

It does seem that everywhere is running out of MS Wheels, and no one is re-stocking,

However, their is a new Madcatz wheel launching with an RRP just over £100,

It comes with a seperate shifter, but no idea what the build quality is like as they are only just getting into the shops.

Although I'm sure the Fanatec PWTS wheel (The only 360/PS3/PC compatible wheel) is too expensive, be warned it will most likely sell out by November or so, and once that superb wheel has gone, there are no rumblings of any other premium 360 compatible wheel being made..

Well i posted in the F1 thread about the new mad catz wireless wheel, this is officially licenced and due for release next month, price is between £90 and £110. but that's about all i know about it. There doesn't seem to be much information out there. But the price tag would lead me to believe it should be a half decent alternative. ie better than the cheapo stuff, yet not hugely priced like the fanatec wheel. I'm waiting for some reviews to pop up before i order one though, don't want to throw £90 at a wheel that is no better than the £30 stuff. shame the logitech drive fx is completely sold out too.

edit: beaten to it, typing on my mobile takes too long.

I think in the past, this might be a good indicator that a new wheel by MS would be forthcoming, however with Kinect soon to be released, perhaps not.

Being honest with you i walked away from it the first time i saw it in the shop as it looked like a toy & felt loose. After trying one though my mind was completely changed & I own a Black momo for my PC. The MS 360 wheel comes alive once plugged into the right game.
Dirt 2 offers the best feedback I've experienced on the 360 but even on Forza 3 & F1 it's a Brilliant wheel.
I bought mine 2nd hand for 40 quid from a high street store & use it all the time where as my Momo sits unused in tuther room.

Now that's interesting to hear, especially as you have a Momo too. I always thought the force feedback on the Momo was very good (I had the strength up quite high) would you say the MS wheel is similiar ?

I may just have to look into the MS wheel in that case (if I can find one).

You got my hopes up then "Where to find.." would have been the best way to start the thread title.

That New MadScat wheel peddle set looks has an interesting design to say the least and I would expect trouble with those cantilever pivots. I thought MS didn't licence wireless tech to third party manufacturers.

Has anyone seen any reviews on this new matcatz wireless wheel yet. Seems they are in stock now. But still no reviews at all.

Seems to be the only option for the xbox now, the logitech wheel was dropped a while ago, the Fanatec doesn't seem to be listed on there website anymore so i assume that is also dropped.

I believe the MS wheel is no longer in production. Basically the only wheel that is being made now is the new madcatz wheel, which is an official licensed wheel and a few cheap nasty wheels, which probably aren't worth looking at.

just wondered if anyone had one, as there is very little information about them.

apparently, its battery powered with no force feedback. :(

Fanatec did ask on their blog about doing another 360 wheel, head over to www.911wheel.de and pop a comment in the blog post, the more people show interest, the better the chance they'll make one.
