New Owner

Hi

Just purchased a Canon 40D with EF-S 17–85mm f/4–5.6 IS USM lens. Canon are selling these as a kit of parts!

Taken some photo's but they are crap! but that is down to me

never owned a DSLR before so I will have to keep trying

. My knowledge is very poor of camera's & Lens only found out what the F number mean't a few weeks ago!! so as you can see my journey will be a long one but hopefully a rewarding one.

Will keep you posted on my new found hobbie

Considering your new to the world of DSLR i recommend you give this site a good long read should help you understand your 40D better.

If I were to add up the total spending I have made on DSLR gear over the past few years it would easily be 5k~ which is mega expensive monies but mere pennies compared to what some of the guys here spend/have spent!!!
