I have sold all my older gear and along with the funds raised and money of my own, I have so far got this...

MSI X1900XT 512mb pci express.

Enermax Liberty 620W ELT620AWT ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CA-024-EN)

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket 775) (HS-017-AR)

G.Skill 2GB DDR2 NR PC2-6400 (2x1GB) CAS5 Dual Channel Kit (F2-6400PHU2-2GBNR) (MY-014-GS)

Zalman VF900-CU Quiet Copper VGA Cooler (SY-008-ZA)

Need a CPU and I have decided it will be - Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail

and Motherboard will prolly be - Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-061-GI)

This will go in my antec p180 / raptor 74gig / maxtor 250gig satas and dvdrw / sounblaster audigy 2 zs.

What do you think?

looking good? I cant wait to get the rest. :p

Looks brilliant, should be an amazing performer! Can't see anything I'd change with it, great hardware. I don't know anything about conroe motherboards though, might be a better one, or you might have chosen a good one. No idea. :)

It's going to perform rubbish and it's just for e-penis *Tries to hide jealousy*. As above great spec. Wish I could afford that kinda spec :o

Lol Thanks guys, belive you me I wouldnt have been able to afford it, if I hadnt had an endowment policy just come in. :p that and I flogged my x2 3800+ /motherboard / vga card/ ram etc.. and put £500 together.

Its really gonna be the best I've ever had so I'm excited. Apparentlly the Gigabyte board is a mean overclocker with fsb hitting 480+!

Sounds like the mobo is a good choice too then! Awesome rig mate, hope you enjoy it and get a nice meaty overclock on the conroe for your money as well. :D Should be quite quiet with the Freezer 7 and the VF900 as well - although I hear raptors are a bit loud?

Thanks, no my raptor is nice and quiet as all the drives are on rubber dampners in the p180 case, so its quiet. :p

Thanks Stelly and have you got your problems sorted now mate? Best of luck there, your setup is gonna be an absolute killer, once working.
