Hey guys,

First time post, but have been an avid reader of the forums for many years.

I've decided to build a PC (hence why i'm posting this :p), but i need some advice.

The PC will be for Gaming (Anno 2070 and some current FPS-ers) and 3D Art (Maya, Cinema 4D, photoshop etc.). I have built PC's in the past, but its been a few years since I've built one.

so as the title says my budget is less than £1200. but i will consider a little bit of wiggle room so i may be able to push it to £1300/£1350.

So what do i need....basically i need a full kit...monitor (x2 if possible), decent case etc.

I'll be planning on overclocking the machine as well, so i will need sufficient cooling, and i will be upgrading parts in the future (more ram, better GPU, PSU).

so can you help?

Thanks ;)

Over

but worth it

I7 will help with maya and other art/model rendering software you may use

16 gb ram, again i believe with programs like maya. the more the merrier and i think 8gb is the safe amount so 16 will be future proof

this case, i was wondering why everyone put it in their specs. had a look into yesterday. for price its unbeatable!

670 with cuda cores will help again with your 3d art software and will destory any game currently out.

might be worth forking out more for a 670 with 4gb vram as its going across 2 monitors. I'll let someone else comment on that

good PSU will be more than enough for this system

yeah, i will need OS, Keyboard/mouse! but i think i can find those by myself :p.

For the last few years I've been a laptop user, due to moving around so much. so i'm having to start from scratch.

my spec finished at 1256 quid, do you fell that laves enough room for you to go find os, keyboard or mouse or would you like me to drop it to x amount?
