Hi Guys,

About 2 years ago this fantastic forum helped me spec a really good PC that has lasted me very well so far, however now I'm back asking for more help!

I have recently got into high level CSGO competitive gameplay and I am looking to start streaming to Twitch soon as well.

My current setup is:

Asus Radeon R9 280X DirectCUII TOP 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
GX-323-AS

SuperFlower Golden Green HX 750W "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black
CA-011-SF

AMD Piledriver FX-6 Six Core 6300 Black Edition 3.50GHz (Socket AM3+) Processor - Retail
CP-338-AM

Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 AMD 970 (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard
MB-502-AS

TeamGroup Vulcan RED 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLD38G1600HC9DC01)
MY-043-TG

Xigmatek Midgard II Gaming Tower Case - Black
CA-013-XG

SuperFlower Golden Green HX 550W "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black
CA-003-SF

Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB SATA 6Gbs 64MB Cache - OEM (ST1000DM003) HDD
HD-257-SE

Plantronics Gamecom 388 Gaming Headset
SP-027-PT

Raijintek Themis Direct Contact CPU Cooler
HS-001-RT

Cooler Master Xornet 2000DPI Gaming Mouse
KB-004-CM

Benq XL2720T 27" TRUE 120Hz 3D Vision 2.0 Widescreen LED Monitor - BlackRed
MO-074-BQ

I've added a few SSD hard drives etc since then so not looking to upgrade them.

What I'm looking to achieve is a good quality stream with as little an impact on my in game FPS as possible. With this in mind I have been looking at the following:

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £1,252.85
(includes shipping: £0.00)

Maybe going to add a mouse and keyboard in there if anyone has any suggestions, how does this build look to you guys?

As ever I really appreciate any feedback! Thanks guys!

That upgrade would be fine. Although in your Current setup you listed 2x PSUs? Either of the ones you listed should he re-usable.

Most of the time you see i7s getting recommended for streaming for the extra threads. But CSGO runs in ultra without any real effort so if that is the only game you intend to stream that I would say go for the set up you posted.

You could even drop to a 1070 to save money. A 1080 is extreme overkill for CSGO only.

1080 for CS lol.....squire that's like using a kanga hammer to break a peanut.

No need to spend that cash, make sure the CPU is the upgrade. Get the i7 to futureproof yourself....even a hexcore if you're looking at that sort of cash.
