New Ram for Asus P5Q-E (please advice me)

Hi Guys,

Planning to go for 8 gig of ram..

proud owner of an asus p5q-e currently running 4 gig of this ram:
Corsair XMS2 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C5 TwinX Dual Channel (TWIN2X4096-6400C5) bought from OCUK, tried to buy another 4 of the same type so i can just match and upgrade, but ocuk are not selling it anymore, so i'm left with no options but to buy a brand new 8 gig set known to work well with my mobo.

Currently running windows 7 x64 and i'm loving it..

Please advice, something i can buy from here obviously..

But why do you need 8gig anyway?

As he said why u need 8gig it does nothing unless you do serious editing & encoding.

Also 4 months ago it would have been the black & purple heatspreader instead of the new blue type.

The new blue heatspreader cools slighty better thats the only difference
