Just helped build a new rig for a friend of mine (all parts bought from OcUK) and upon using the I/O switch, the Cooler Master 650W PSU let out a huge bang and a bit of smoke. Seems to me that the PSU was faulty on arrival...

Can this be returned and replaced (and will I/he have to pay for it)? What happens if this fault has managed to take out any other component in the rig? :(

Cheers chaps

e: Ignore this, I've just posted in the shop part of the forum for an official answer :p

Put a note in the customer forum or send a web note to get a RMA number to exchange the psu, done the same when I had faulty RAM. I ended sending the ram back at my own cost, not sure if they can arrange collectiion.

Hopefully it should have not taken out any components being a resonable brand.
