New shows this September?

Just watched the first episode of the new season of Flashpoint (Canadian series about a police tactical team). I won't spoil it in case anyone else watches but it had me gasping at the screen with my hand over my mouth, was rather surprised that a show that usually plays it safe went with quite a jarring storyline for the season opener. I'm impressed. Usually most episodes conclude with them talking the suspect down without any shots being fired...but it all went a bit crazy with this one.

Also watched episode 2 of Revolution. It's not bad, but it's still not great and I just don't feel anything towards any of the characters so far, they're all a bit generic and the acting and script isn't good enough to actually make me care about their circumstances. Frankly I spent most of the episode staring down Charlie's top. :p

Elementary is being shown on Sky Living and Perception is being shown on Watch, I've seen adverts for both over the last few days and they both start early next month.

Revolution is also quite good, reminds me of Jericho quite a lot which was great. However, it's a shame they've dumb-downed the violent scenes. Bit more blood and intensity would be great. They need to find a balance between nothing and Spartacus levels.

New show I'll be watching for more than 2 episodes - Elementary (enjoyed the pilot)

New show I watched for only 2 episodes before ditching it - Revolution (seen it all before only with either a better/more interesting story or acting or both i.e Jericho, Falling Skies, Walking Dead etc however I'll keep tabs on it incase it swings around later on)

New show I'll only watch 1 episode of as it's dire - Last Resort (bad, very very bad)

Well, I watched Last Resort...

The pilot was pretty decent. A bit cheesy, as can be expected from a US Network show, but it was fairly entertaining. It'll be interesting to see how it develops though - the rest of the series must necessarily be quite different from the pilot.

I just hope that they "wrap it up" nicely in the first season, rather than leaving a cliffhanger. It's got the "Friday night death slot", so the chances of it getting a second series a remote.

I also watched "Vegas". It was 'okay', but it seems that it will develop into a quite formulaic week-by-week self-contained story. It didn't really have anything to grab me.

thats for the vids El_Watcher, I'm probably going to watch all of them when they finish, hate waiting for new episodes, prefer to just watch them all when i want to, watching continuum atm, pretty good. Arrow looks decent also.

Never heard of jericho but love post apocalyptic things so thanks :p
