if you scroll down the list of projects, skynet is down near the bottom

I have a feeling that a slumbering giant may be awakening over there. Seems to be talk of a few multi processor users adding some logs so a bonfire could happen yet

In the short term, we are close to having over a million pogs points a day as a team, can we do it :D

I see street light has been updated and showing

GenuineIntel
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2450M CPU @ 2.50GHz [Family 6 Model 42 Stepping 7]

hi deleted abc home just on skynet now :)

Don't think I would be much help with a AMD 6350, What is this for?

of course you would be helpfull, join up:)

Is there much optimizing you can do for this or is it just how fast your cpu is? this is my first distributing project I've done some crypto mining before if that's in anyway similar.

the fact you have an i7 is good, there more cores the better, each core will do its own work unit, you could overclock your cpu if you have a decent cooler if you want to get every last bit of performance you can :p

Every core helps, the project info can be found on their front page, basically the project maps galaxies. The competition we're doing is just a bit of fun as to which team can produce the most points this month, which in turn also helps the project.

There's no optimizing really bar overclocking, it is as you said just how fast your machine is. There were optimized executables a while back that replaced the project ones, they were much quicker but unfortunately often gave the wrong result.
