New speakers.

Need some advice on what speakers to buy

I currently have a 26" samsung LCD in my bedroom. It has my xbox, xbox 360, sky digital and hd-dvd player all hooked up to it. I'm very happy with the picture quality but the sound isn't really anything special. I need some speakers to hook up to the telly, but I have no idea what to get or how much a decent set would cost.

Any recommendations?

I wouldnt hook up any speakers to a TV..
Much better buying a decent cheap amp and speakers...hook up all your stuff to the amp ..Much better qual...in all depts..
Have a look on here ..its were i always go before buying anything AV...

If it's just a bedroom I would consider a 2.1 pc speaker system, you can just connect it straight to the tv without an amp and still have good sound.

Thanks guys I'll look into it. When it comes to the sound/audio side of things I really am clueless tbh. I don't mind buying an amp but as long as the sound from everything (sky/xbox/360) all comes through the speakers.
