initially powered it up, screen is ok and can access bios, 30 seconds or so later it just shuts down, tried to power it straight back up it beeps as usual on post but then shuts straight back down.

anyone any ideas ?

cheers........

cpu is 41, mobo is 26 ish.

cooler is a sycthe ninja using pop pins into the motherboard, 120mm fan also on it.

check all your voltages are set to there settings not auto

are there particular ones that are more important than others, as mentioned the system is only on for seconds.

is the CPU HSF plugged into the CPU fan header?

Have you tried unplugging everything apart from the 'must haves'? (e.g. mobo, cpu, gpu, 1 ram stick only)

nope as i didnt realise that its near enough under the heat sink(got a sytche ninja) plugged it into a chassis fan.

have also tried it disconnected as it can run passive but it still happens.

yup tried the minimum system, tried 3 out of 4 memory slots as the 4th one is under the cpu heatsink fan so no space.

Can you plug a fan (any fan, although higher the RPM the better) into the CPU header? I think the board might be auto shutting off because it's not detecting an RPM on the CPU header.

This option is also configurable in the BIOS, usually found somewhere in the Temps section.

checked the manual and there is a setting for cpu fan speed warning, but this is already set to disabled.

thx for the info so far........

hmmmmmmmm im thinking
and me m8 absolutely doing my head in :(

brought the mobo and processor off a m8 so 99.9% certain there ok, memory is brand new so trying to loan some to confirm thats ok, all the other kit is from my previous system that was working fine the night before i swapped things over :(

finally got hold of some ram and it still does the same thing :(:(

removed all the ram and it recognises it has no ram ok.

is there any way, without using another, if i can figure out if its the mobo or processor thats playing up ?

turns out it was me ninja causing the issue, had been reseated etc then found out while it was on its side it worked ok'ish but as soon as it was stood up it played up again.

switched to the retail cooler and all is now fine, checked the ninja cant see any issues with the pop clips so no idea what the problem with it is :(
