Hi, basically building a new pc for uni for watching movies and playing dvd's and stuff. Already own a TFT, so I don't need to purchase one of those. I'm looking to spend £700-800 on a brand new system (no monitor). Here is some of the stuff I have been thinking of getting:
However I'm not sure whether some of the stuff I have chosen goes well with other parts. For example the cpu and the gfx card - would I get a good performance out of those? or should I stretch my budget and go for a faster gfx card?
I want rock solid performance, and something that is future proof. I hear dx10 gfx cards are due out some time soon, so would I be best opting for a mid-range card until they arrive? whenever that is.
Thanks
