Hi I’m new to these forums and to PC building and could do with a bit of help.

I have made myself a list of components that I think would work well with each other for what I need it for. I’m going to need this PC for web browsing, school work, gaming and editing/streaming. If anyone could possibly point out any compatibility issues or possible bottlenecking that would be really appreciated.

I’m am also looking to overclock some of my components so I’m wondering if my CPU cooler is powerful enough for it.

What is your budget ?

Do you already have a monitor and peripherals ?

Welcome to the forum by the way :)

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,267.04 (includes shipping: £13.20)

You'll have something that looks like this and damn silent !

Ryzen

intel

move the 140mm from the front to the Top back corner - leave the top panel on as they'll be enough space for air to be forced out with the top fan.
Mount the 3 Silent wings to the front , connect to the fan controller and just leave at max speed- you will NOT hear them!
Connect the rear and the top exhaust fans to the mobo and set for low speed.
You'll have positive pressure so less dust build up and a lot of cool air flow!

if you can push budget, have a look at Windforce 56 for £390 and Focus 650w PSU

2700x comes with a cooler, and a pretty good one really. Don't know how it would hold up against an overclock, but I'd guess you'd want to be looking at a more serious air cooler to really have a good go. Another £10 or so and you can be looking at the thermalright aro-m14, which is rated for 240W as opposed to the 140W of the cooler you're looking at.

Hi orbitalwalsh!

I'm putting this build together pretty much as you've listed apart from the GPU and SSD.

Just having a few problems with the 3 x 120mm fans and the fan controller for this case.

The fan controller is 2 pin connection, the 140mm fan i moved was 3 pin but the plugs fitted so everything ok. The 3 x 120mm fans though are 4 pin and can't connect. Did you use an adaptor or rewire or......?

Thanks

Plug those 4 pwm into the mobo :)
It'll handle the control of them. The case fans connected to case controller runs of voltage control and not pulse

If needs be , ekwb PWM splitter off here for £4 odd

I realised after posting that I could just swap the 3 fans to mobo and the single rear to the case fan control! Thanks for confirming! :)

:D

I run those Silents Wings at 80% all the time. at the front they should allow very high positive pressure and force warm air out of the case by any means and lot dust inside the case its self :D
